While I remember, one thing I was quite keen on having was a sort of 'null instrument' - I'll explain:

In some other trackers, if you select instrument zero, or no instrument, you can enter just the note value with no instrument value - typically, it sounds the most recently used instrument as you enter the value, although really the instrument that will be played will be the previous one in the track data.

This would be useful for those occasions where you're using a big sweeping filter and you only want to trigger the actual note once - thereafter, you want just note-values and having a 'null note' entry, like maybe a blank ins that always stays at the top of the ins list, would save you having to go back and delete all of the unwanted ins-values. I hope that explains it:)

Next, there's still a wee bit of a bug with selecting/copying/pasting in the pattern list. This maybe fixed already, I'm not sure. It works fine for the first four or so tracks, but after that it all goes a bit haywire on the 68k version. It's not a big thing, really... Jus' sayin'.

Another request is one I may have made before...can't remember:) It's for a row-preview feature, much like Protracker and a few other trackers have. Basically, it means with a shortcut you can manually, and slowly, go through a fast sequence at your own speed to help work out where you've gone wrong, or whatever. It's Return on Protracker, so maybe Alt+Return or Ctrl+Return would do the trick?

That's all for now:)

1) Both hively and AHX already have the 'null' instrument. With, say, instrument 1 selected, enter some notes, now put the cursor over the '1' of the instrument number and hit zero ;)

2) If by patternlist, you mean position editor, selecting/copying/pasting any arbitary region works and has always worked under OS4... I don't use or test the OS3 version so if it doesn't work, I wouldn't have noticed.

3) Interesting. We'll see.

Oh yes, I completely forgot. You can actually select the null instrument by hitting 0 on the numeric keypad.

Haha d'oh! Brill... And yeah, I remember now that the position-editor issue was a 68k only one. I'll ask Exobuzz about it.

Ahem. Ooops. It seems I was wrong. It was broken in OS4, too. The problem was that I never tested it in the situation where the leftmost channel displayed wasn't channel 1. This is fixed for 1.4 now, but I can't send the sources to anyone to build because I moved house and don't have internet at home and won't have for atleast another fortnight.

I'd just like to say that UK broadband companies are all a bunch of bastards.

They bloody well are. Well, the ADSL ones are. ^ What you said makes sense, yeah - works fine as long as first channel is 1, but goes to pot otherwise. Woop.
