Allright, this is great that you are now doing this.. How about my lousy compoentrotune: <URL REMOVED - in the hope that nobody had time to download it>

Listening to your tune now .. waiting for the melody to kick in..kewl sounds so far. Hmm, sounds a lot like techno-type stuff without real musical content. Drumbeat and some random -though kinda kewl- sounds. So I cannot estimate this tune as a song, only as a sound-experiment, and as such, its pretty cool. :)(though a tad repetitive for my taste)

Ahh monk, couldn't you wait a little bit more for the music disk? ;-)

I know, i know, its well over a year late now, *BUT* I'm literally just waiting for a couple of bits of text from spot and then its released.

Tell you what, i'll add it as soon as the musicdisk gets released, and I promise that will be *soon* as long as spot gets some free time.

Oh, sorry about that.. I thought it was released a long time ago :) Haha .. ok, I'll take the file off the net, sorry. It wasn't intentional, I just didn't realize the music disk is still being made, heh.. ok, now it's off, can't be downloaded anymore, the URL doesn't work. (Though I am pretty sure everyone has all the entry musics already anyway :))

But it's good news that the music disk is getting ready, it has been a long wait.. as you can see from what happened, I totally forgot as in my memory the compo happened _SUCH_ a long time ago, that I just didn't even remember about the music disk, it never really entered my mind.. it was like 'old news', 'water under the bridge' etc.. in my mind it was like long past 'game over', the compo and results happened in ancient ancient past..

So, my mistake, but you must admit it was an understandable mistake.. <:-)

Thanks anyways for it all, and sorry again for making that mistake.

Cool!

Remember to put a camera recording it in at least 60 fps, and to pack it to divx/xvid and to then upload it somewhere here and to create a link for it so we can watch the explosion .. perhaps you can add some colored strobolights around you also before it happens to enchance the impact of the video :)

Then we could spread it all over youtube and you could watch from the astral world how famous you became after your death.. and you can feel harmonious and good, as it was a good life - you gave the world Hivelytracker!

Just a note to say that now that the competition musicdisk is out, i've added all the competition tunes to the tunes section.

Yes, logically Xeron was 100% correct - as bonus loop did not enter the competition, and all Xeron said was that he's added all the COMPETITION tunes to the tunes section, there is no logical fallacy here, so you can't say "'cept", at least if you mean it to be the word 'except' in some kind of shortened/cutefied version. :)

Just added another tune.

Its a bit dancey this time, and a bit repetetive i think.

Yes, it is kinda repetitive and doesn't sound very inspired. Sound-wise it's pretty excellent, I like the snare especially. I wonder if you could make Hively more like the C64 in the regard that there could be more impacting snare-drums possible? I mean, with C64 it's easy to create really kicking and punching snaredrums, but with hively/ahx it's very difficult. Kickdrums are easier though. Maybe you could have used some melody with this song, the small echoed melody-thing is kinda promising but then it just repeats instead of progressing. So, more progression, more interesting song structure and the result would be great! Perhaps some more energy too .. this sounds kinda 'lazy' song, like it's composed half-asleep instead of with huge enthusiasm :)

If you want really 'thumping' snare sound in AHX/HVL then you may want to use two instruments simultaneously: One containing the 'thump', similar to your kick sound. And one with the noise content, you probably want to use an arpeggio in this one.

What happened to the forum? I wrote a reply to anakirob, and I actually wrote more messages to various places, and even tried to send a Hivelytracker tune I made.. but now all that has been erased from existence!

Was there some kind of a server fault? I mean, no one would intentionally remove my messages, right? Why would anyone? And why stop there instead of removing all my messages - and why even leave me the account? Hm. I conclude that something happened server-wise or something.
