Hi again.
I am wondering whether it's possible to use Protracker shortcuts with Hivelytracker? I mean, playing a song with a key combination instead of having to use the mouse? Would be really handy, especially when having been used to Renoise, Fasttracker II etc. which all use such key combos (at least optionally).
It slows down the composing process when one can't just quickly play the tune by pressing CTRL or ALT or something like that - I often use this feature to be able to go quickly back to the top of the pattern - but now I have to tediously scroll there, or take my hand off the keyboard to use the mouse.
If not, such a feature would surely be appreciated! |

Look in the documentation... second two entries of the keyboard reference.
Right Amiga should map to Right Windows (or menu). If it doesn't work, its a bug. AHX forever! |

After using Hively (Windows port) for over a year, I must second that request. I mean, custom key configuration or at least changing PLAY shortcuts for Windows version.
I use Windows 7 & Windows 8. In my case the right MENU key works like PLAY POS, but also launches menu in Windows. Right WIN key should work as PLAY SONG, but it also works as PLAY POS and launches start menu in Windows. http://www.modules.pl |

OK, I looked into this in more detail. On the SDL ports, Alt Gr is supposed to be "Play Song", but due to a quirk (or maybe a bug?) of SDL on windows, when you press Alt Gr, you get a dummy right CTRL key press, so it always got translated into an Amiga keycode as CTRL+RALT. So I added a workaround that cancels out the dummy CTRL press when you hit RALT, and now play song works on windows :-) AHX forever! |
