Where can I find the HVL2WAV for Windows/OS X platform? I just find a bunch of dead links.
How much work would it be for someone to add to the HVL2WAV, if it exists, so that it writes each channel as a separate .wav file? I would be willing to pay a few bucks for this, since I will be doing a lot of exporting from HVL files very soon. I'd rather not spend 16*3 minutes ripping the sound in real time just to find out I have to change ac ouple of patterns and do it all over again.

I'll try and dig up the source for it.. my web host deleted all zip files, and I found and re-uploaded most of them but not that one. AHX forever! |

Thank you! I will try to see if some of my friends can add that "missing" killer feature :).

I have an issue with hvl2wav. OS is WinXP. When it exports the wav, my EDx commands aren't recorded. It messes up all my grace notes :'(
I was really happy to find hvl2wav after I'd spent a few minutes recording to Audacity through my "Stereo Mix". It's much easier and more consistent (don't have to worry about hiccups). But I use a lot of EDx commands.
I also have a few more questions:
1. Is it possible to make it so that double-clicking hvl2wav.exe will automatically make it load in command prompt?
2. Do the song modules have to be in the same directory as hvl2wav to convert, or can I point it to a directory?
3. Do the optional parameters come before the filename.hvl or after?
Thanks for the help! I really like HivelyTracker (my favorite tracker after LSDJ). |

The EDx problem was fixed in 1.1. This is now available again in the download section of the site.
1) I don't really understand...
2) You should be able to give it a full path to a file. If there are spaces, use quotes.
3) From memory, they can be anywhere, but they will definitely work if you put them before. AHX forever! |

Wow, that was fast. I just downloaded the old version 7 days ago. Thanks!
1) When I double-click the program it shows a black box with text describing options and etc, and then the box disappears. I have to open the Command Prompt from the Start Menu, cd to the directory and run it that way. I was just wondering if there was a way to make it so that I could just double click the program to run (I know it's a command-line application, but no harm in asking, right?)
Thanks for the help. |

I solved the problem of the window closing when I double-click: I just created a shortcut that uses the K\ command to run hvl2wav through cmd.exe. I probably could have also used a batch file.
Thanks alot for the help. I'll be sure to post my songs in the appropriate place. In the meantime, I have the one that I recorded through stereo mix up on my soundcloud. I'm SketchMan3 there (go figure). |
