Jumping the gun a little bit here, since 68k Hively isn't *quite* in our grasp, but here's a feature request:

MIDI input - as basic as you like, possibly configurable to multikey over a certain few channels (say 12->16) and maybe even with patch no. commands interpreted as ins no. changes... :0 The idea, anyway, would be that you could play back a 12-channel module (or whatever) and then play live over the top in your spare four channels without the new note interrupting a currently-playing note.

I use AHX quite a bit when I play live, but there are heavy limits on what I can do. My solution, so far, as been to use my MIDI keyboard to control an Atari 1040 STe running gwEm's maxYMiser to accompany an AHX tune, or to play a tune on something entirely different (a sequencer, Milkytracker, maxYMiser etc) and simply use AHX as a basic 4-channel synth...

Even if people don't have much use for the 'live' potential of this feature, it would constitute the MIDI input that a lot of people like for their day-to-day tracking.

[Tbh, configurable keyjamming would still be cool without MIDI - I personally love using my A1200 keyboard as a controller keyboard;)]

MIDI would be difficult since I have no MIDI gear, but I could investigate camd.library.

As for keyjamming, it doesn't sound too hard to impliment. When you turn it on, it just reserves four channels for keyjamming (so you can only do it on <= 12 channel tunes).

AHX forever!

Four channels aren't essential even - that's just what multikey uses in AHX by default. If you could set it to 1, 2, 3 or 4, then you could have varying degrees of...sustain (sort of, but not really, you know what I mean - 'non-note-offness';) )

+1 from me! I'd love to see MIDI support - jamming with AHX/Hively instruments via MIDI would be simply kickass.

>PLEASE< look into adding this! :)
