Maybe once I've finished my PhD and resigned myself to a life of unemployment I'll get one.
It looks like it'd be a good 'social console', for having people round to play games in a group. Does it come with four controller ports as standard, or two? That's one of the many things that set the XBox ahead of the PS2, in my opinion (although I have, and enjoy, both - just to preempt any Xbox/PS2 fights that might break out;).

AFAIK the Wiimotes are bluetooth so you just pair them all up to your Wii and off you go.
It has four connectors for Gamecube controllers, just like the Gamecube did.

Not me, I won't have time to dedicate to it, I don't play games much too. Worst of all, there is/will be Pangya for it, but NO multiplayer option. Groan. FPSE with the W3D plugin will make me happy enough... when I'll setup it someday.

Since I don't like Pokemons, Animal Crossing, some various Mario versions, Zelda crap and in general Japanese games, I'll probably will not buy Wii. :)
(Well, I like Japanese games, but only those M.A.M.E. ones, such as "Final Fight", "Knights of the Round" and similar).

I don't like Zelda, Pokemon, or Animal Crossing. I do, however, love all the 2D Mario games, as well as Mario 64, and Super Mario Sunshine. Mario Kart (SNES and DS versions) also completely rocks. I also love Super Monkey Ball.
I've also now played Wii sports, which is just brilliant multiplayer. So, yes, I'm still definately getting one :)

If you like 2D mario, check out "New Super Mario Bros." and "Yoshi's Island" on the DS. Both very cool.
